[SOLVED] Which SSD to get for my mobo Asus H97-PRO GAMER

currently i am using Asus H97-Pro Gamer motherboard. Can someone advise me which SSD to get? want to get one with around 500gb storage.

Can my motherboard support NVME ssd? It has M.2 slot

Planning to get either 1 SSD below:
1) Samsung 860 Evo
2) Kingston A1000 m.2 NVME
3) Crucial mx500

Can i know if my motherboard cant support NVME? and if i buy kingston A1000, what is the max speed i will get?
What is the speed different between SATA and M.2 SSD? like samsung 860 evo sata and m.2

Your board supports both SATA, AND PCI, M.2 devices. Be sure of what you are looking at because they are not the same.

M.2 is just the form factor and they will look identical, however a SATA M.2 drive will be no faster than a normal SATA SSD. A PCI M.2 NVME drive will be a lot faster, in some things, and about the same in others.

If this is a system that is primarily used for gaming or browing then I'd suggest a regular SATA SSD would be less expensive and just as good for most of what you will do. Maybe for all of what you will do unless you store and transfer a lot of very large sequential files from that drive.

The 860 EVO is probably your best all around option. The Crucial MX500 is also good and so are the Sandisk Ultra II SSDs.
