Why Are You Upgrading: As the title states, I pieced together my first desktop gaming PC in 2012, after taking some advice from this very forum. Over the years I replaced a few parts here and there; some from necessity, others for better performance. My CM Hyper 212 Plus heatsink just died on me the other day, which will require some effort and mobo-removal to replace. Which got me to thinking, would it be worth it to just go ahead and upgrade everything and/or build a brand new PC? Or are the parts listed below still fine enough for today's gaming?

well with newer builds you will need a new motherbord and ram because no CPU uses DDR3 ram anymore. the GPU is kind of on the low side but you can still use it on a new build if your budget is tight

with AMD you can't go wrong with a ryzen 5 or 7. with intel the 8th or 9th gen i5's and i7's

So after some price and spec comparisons, I put together this build. Are there any bottlenecks in performance or suggested changes any of you would make? Items marked 'purchased" are ones I already have and intend to carry over. I can also get most of these parts on eBay, and earn 10% in eBay bucks (if I buy by the end of the day).
