Would you personally delid your CPU for 20°C drop in temperature?

I'm getting an i7-8700k however I'm very disappointed in Intel for putting mayo on the die instead of proper liquid metal causing CPU's to function at 20°C higher than needed, regardless of the aftermarket CPU Cooler that's being applied to it.

I do like the warranty, but should I delid my CPU and void it for those extra drops in temp? Would you do it/Did you do it? :)

Thanx!

If it is not actually thermally throttling with however you are using it, then a decrease in temp brings no performance benefit.

Now...if...

It doesn't thermal throttle, but why do I have to live with a flaw that was made on purpose to an otherwise outstanding chip and technology?

The benefits of having it delidded might equal better overclocking results with less V needed, and more life expectancy if there is no damage to the chip during the delidding operation.

Not only this, this also causes the fact that a better cooler is needed to be purchased as a second layer of heat dissipation because of the first layer not been done properly which equals spending more for no reason. :)

Now...if you're OCing it, and have tried everything else, and the reason you can't go higher with the OC is strictly due to temp...then go for it.
