Help with upgrading my system?

Right now I have
M5A97 2.0 Motherboard,
FX 6300 cpu,
12gbs of DDR3

I would like to replace all of these with
MSI B350 Tomahawk MB
Ryzen 5 1600
8GBs of DDR4

My question is how am I supposed to go about doing this? What updates/whatever do I have to do before I replace the components? I'm a complete noob at this and would raelly apprecaiate your help thank you!

Physically not much, just replace those parts. Windows may have to be reinstalled and new drivers used. W10 may be more resilient to changes and work at first or second try if connected to internet by wire but W7 is almost certain to have to have clean install. There also may be a problem with activation and registration. If Windows are Retail version, you will have to re-enter registration and if OM to call Microsoft.
