Help : Low CPU and GPU Usage in Games.

Hello People from the internet, this is a first time forum thread for me but i'm out of options and i need someone to look into this problem with me.

So here's the deal. My CPU and GPU usage is around 65 % when i am playing games on my windows 10 pc. This means that not all the juice of the gpu and cpu is used. It does not look like a bottleneck to me because the cpu and gpu both run at around 65%. Im getting low FPS in PUBG, FORTNITE , BF5 , BF1.

Also i have not overclocked my GPU nor CPU. The only thing ive changed is set Power Limit to the Max and Temperature limit to the max in MSI Afterburner.

First my system specs:
GTX 1060 3G
MSI b350m Motherboard
8 GB dual channel 2400 mhz ddr 4 Ram from Kingston
240 gb samsung evo ssd
1 TB Hard drive
500 Watt Powersupply.

So ive done some research and these are the steps ive already done.

Changing the power management of the pc.
Changing the power management in Control Panel of NVIDIA. ( High Performance )
Disable HPET
Change Max prerendered frames to 1 in Control Panel of NVIDIA
Having Dual Channel Ram
Making A Config File For BF1 and 5 which limits the fps.

None of them solve the problem.

So the things i have not done yet are changing the powersupply because that can be faulty ofcourse.

I hope to hear from you guys soon. I cant figure this out on my own.

P.S i have vsync disabled:)

Not 100% sure how the cap works, but to test, remove the cap.

I suspect you're hitting the VRAM cap long before the CPU & or GPU in general can truly stretch their legs.
You won't see the numbers jump up much at all, but you should at least be able to see some slight changes to confirm whether I'm right or wrong...

What kind of in-game settings are you attempting to run? What kind of FPS are you seeing?

If you find you're *only* seeing 60FPS on low settings (for example), crank up the in-game eye candy. With that kind of utilization, you could probably do Medium or even High, and still see 60FPS.

Im getting barely 60 fps on low settings(many dips below 60). on medium settings im getting around 50 and on high- ultra im getting around 35-45. GPU and CPU usage will not increase if i crank up the settings. (im talking about bf5)

Since i have a 3 GB model i do have the limit vram usage feature on in BF5. vram usage is about 2.7 Gbs

So heres the deal, i think the problem solved itself after i made all those changes. I now have 95% use of CPU and 95% use of GPU with an increase in fps of about 20-30. i can now run BF5 med settings withg a fps of 80+.

But maybe your change was the problem solver. I did actualy change the limiter back to off and it worked. but when i enabled it again nothing changed. So who knows, pc's are weird things.

Thanks for the help anyway!
