Computer freezes, mouse still moves, external hard drive makes slow ticking noise, western digital 2tb. Can't turn on computer for longer than 10 minutes without the entire thing slowislowing down then stopping, but the mouse still moves. Can tell it's about to happen because videos stop working and task bar won't pop up. OOnce it does this, my hard drive on top starts doing a slow click. Can't even keep it going long enough for a diagnostic to run. Do I need to transfer my stuff to a new external? Will it help the rest of the computer?
