Peripherals not working on startup

I'm just going to say that I'm not a huge computer expert and am having a problem with my usb ports and peripherals not working.

A few weeks ago I decided to restart my computer and there were no updates or anything available to actually cause this problem, it was just really sudden where a random computer restart completely stopped my peripherals from working. When I restarted the computer, the mouse, keyboard, any peripheral would not work so I was stuck in the lock screen without being able to do anything. When I restart the computer, the lights for the keyboards like the Numpad lights and mouse lights turn on, but immediately turn off as soon as the computer goes into its lock screen. Since my keyboard and mouse doesn't even work, I can't log into my computer to do anything. I've looked at many different online forums but gained no solutions to my problems. I've tried plugging in different keyboards and mouses and to all different usb ports.

Is there any way to try and fix this problem on my own before reaching out to any professional repairs?

My immediate thought is a failing/failed PSU. But that needs to be proved or disapproved.

Please post your computer's full hardware specifications and OS.

How old is your computer - condition? Make and model?

Any error codes or beeps? Will the computer boot into Safe mode?

What about keyboard and mouse: make and model? Did you try re-installing the drivers? Wireless - check the batteries...
