[SOLVED] Help please i need to know about cpu limiting my gpu

over the past 6 months i upgraded from a crappy laptop with radeon graphics which i thought were good... I built a Pc and it has 8gb ddr4 2666mhz,1070ti,i5-8500,650w evga g1,i have 860 evo in their and 2tb ironwolf. i thought i did good and decided to get a nice new monitor 1440p 144hz g sync the asus rog one... i spend lots of money making nice computer and its no good now wont do the 144hz and im not hitting that good of fps. please tell me if its the i5 8500? do i need to get something better for 144hz? i dont understand forum said 1440p sweetspot is 1070ti and its no good... and what are my most important upgraded from here and out? because id like to hit at least 100hz in most games which its not doing im seeing like 90fps with overclock on max settings. thank u guys please and thanks and help

No, I would suggest that to achieve higher FPS you would need faster gfx card, such as the 1080 Ti. There's nothing wrong with your CPU, and especially not if overclocked.
