I recently acquired a confidence pro vibration plate machine but it came without the power plug! What cable would i need for this? It's got a label where this plugs in which says 230v 50hz 600w & i can see it has three pins and a triangular sort of socket for the power supply to fit in. (Like a pc cable or kettle cable) but I'm not sure if any sort of pc cable/kettle cable will do or does it need to be able to withstand the power units above?

Solution
You upload a picture (to a picture hosting site) of the socket and post the link here? 600w @230v is only about 2.3amps so it's probably just a variant of a standard IEC lead ( kettle lead) so no external PSU is needed, just plug it into the mains.

So would a kettle cable with a 3 amp fuse in it work? I've looked for one online but they are mostly all 5amp, 10amp or 13amp! Is it ok to use a cable with a higher than needed fuse?
