Wrecked SD Card

So I messed up really bad this time. I stupidly didn't eject my SD card from my phone which corrupted it. Out of panic and how big of an idiot I am, I formatted the SD card thinking I could recover it in some magical way. I didn't think much of it because I forgot what was on it since I didn't manually save anything to it. Come to find out, a big chunk of my photos had gone missing and I realized they were all on the SD card that I foolishly wrecked. I've already tried some pieces of recovery software and most of them came up with some empty files. However, ZAR X found one photo and a couple of seconds of a video. This is why I have the slightest glimmer of hope that my photos can be recovered. Are there any other pieces of software that can recover my photos? Are there any methods I can use? Do I send it to be professionally recovered? Or is the SD card too far from recovery?

Thank you in advance,
Isaac Otalora

If its a scam card, its a scam.
Copy what you can off it, cut your losses, and toss it in the trash.

I was thinking about how operating systems work, and I decided to import my pictures from my phone to my computer to see if my computer could find some far off pictures that the my phones's OS decided to backup from the SD card. I'm pleased to say that it did find about 25% of my photos that I lost that, I guess, were backed up. Fortunately, these were the most important photos that were lost. After this, I decided to download a image recovery on my phone to see if it would find anything. Come to find out, all of the photos were found. These are only thumbnails though, so the resolution is not the best. However, I'm super happy now! Thank you all again for the suggestions and I've already made backups of not only my phone, but of my computer.
