Case: NXZT 500i
Cooler: Kraken x62
2x Fans: Corsair Air Series SP 140mm
CPU- i7-8600
GPU - 1070ti or 1080 or rtx 2080

Im very new to building and airflow and coolers and all this stuff in general so I wanted to run this by those more experienced

I had two ideas. One was to mount the radiator to the front of the case positioning the fans behind the radiator to blow inward to the case, taking air from the front, and set up the fan on the back and the fan on the top to blow out of the case as exhaust. I think I can even mount two fans on the ceiling to blow out. So potentially 3 exhaust fans with just the 2 140mm radiator fans on the front blowing in. I wasnt sure since they are blowing into the radiator if that actually counts as intake for the case.

Another idea I had was going down to the kraken x52 (2*120mm fans instead of 2*140mm) and mount it on the ceiling with the air blowing into the radiator and out of the case, and then have the 1 rear fan as an exhaust and put 2 140mm fans on the front as intake.

Option 2 looks like the best option as the front onlly has a small stip down the side for air to come in and having fans draw the air in and not having a radiator in the way will be better.

So 2 x 140mm fans bringing air in from the front. 2 x 120mm fans attached to X52 exhausting air out and one rear exhaust fan..

ya, i guess the question is how big of difference is it having the x62 vs x52 cooling the cpu. for mild overclocking on an i7-8600k im not sure what to expect. i do know the x62 is a much more powerful and efficient cooler compared to the x52, but thats not to say the x52 wont do the job just fine.

The X52 will do more than a good job on a mild overclock even more if required. It is a good 240mm AIO and will be more than enough...
