Did you by chance install a new motherboard and not re-install windows? Had a similar problem many months ago. Tried to just use my boot drive and just ran into major issues. CPU usage was always over 80%

It has a mod pack, direwolf20, but no one else has any problems except for me. Yes newest version of Java 64
