Hi there,

I haven't bought a new PC in quite a long time and after searching for a while I think i'm going to go with one of these two. I am buying a new PC because I want to play newer games on good settings, and probably stream or record game footage using an Elgato HD60s.

I think there are alot of similarities in those 2 builds, but I was wondering which is better between the Ryzen 2600x with the GTX 1070TI vs the i7 8700 with the GTX 1070. Just wanting a second opinion from people who know this stuff better than I do, if you don't mind. Maybe there is something I missed. (probably)

Prices are really close, also they are in Canadian dollars.

Cheers.

the one included with the CPU is fine if you are running at stock and it can even do a bit of overclocking but its not that expensive to go for a bigger heatsink. it offers more silence

yeah you can definitely just pull it off through watching the video. things are keyed in a way where it doesnt fit properly if it isnt meant to be there. the main difference probably is that when you are building it compared to someone whos done it a lot is how neat the cables look and how much time you spend doing the build.

You install windows 10 via usb stick.

I believe that coolermaster will send you the mounting hardware for AM4 for that specific cooler but ive changed the cooler to a model where you dont need to do that. everything out of the...

Thanks very much for your reply!

I had been considering something like this, and am a total beginner.

Is the CPU Cooler added because the one that comes with the CPU isn't that great? Does it just replace it?

Do you think someone who would just look up a video on how to assemble a PC could pull it off?

Also, do I just install windows 10 on it with USB drives? I have the original windows 7 CD and got the upgrade.

It says at the bottom that the CPU Cooler might require a seperate mounting adapter, I wouldn't know what to do with that. Maybe you saw that and know it would work or something :D

Sorry for all the rookie questions, I really appreciate your help.

:)
