So I posted a thread a few weeks ago asking for recommendations on what PC parts I should get to upgrade my current build. I got a list of parts, here’s what we decided on

My question is, what do I need to do before I replace my current parts those parts? I still have my windows installation disc so I assume I can just use it again?
Do I need to wipe out my storage drive and can I reuse it?
Please get back to me ASAP because cyber Monday is tomorrow :)

Thanks in advance,
Matt

When you get everything installed into the new PC use the installation media and do a fresh install over the hard drive. You don't need to worry about what's on it now or trying to reset it.

your windows installation media should be fine. you will want to do a fresh install of windows on the drive. I don't know what you're replacing but the best thing I can say is to just start from scratch, pull everything out, give it a good shot of compressed air and clean the dust out, then start the build from the beginning.
