Can dual monitors affect performance?

i have a 1080ti and am about to purchase a g sync monitor as a primary gaming monitor and my current one as a productivity monitor.

Will this have an effect on FPS in games? Or is it allg?

I have a 1080ti and Ryzen 7 2700, 16GB 2666Mhz RAM
600W PSU and GA-AB350

Generally speaking you wont see a difference.
Sometimes when you have a video playing fullscreen on the second monitor it can impact frames, but just having the display and/or web pages wont matter.

Yeah that is to be expected. YouTube and such can affect ram and fps hard
