New PC build issues with watching Twich while playing games

Hello everyone,

I just bought the following components and assembled them:
- CPU: i5 9600k
- MOBO: Asus ROg STRIX Z390-E Pro Gaming
- Mem: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB DDR4 3000MHz CL16 Dual Channel Kit
- Power: Corsair TX650M, 80+ Gold, 650W
- Cooler CPU Noctua NH-D15
- Case: Fractal Design Define R6 Black Tempered Glass

The GPU i already had and its an MSI R9 390

The issue that i have is the following: whenever i play Warhammer: Total War 2 (everything on Ultra) and i also try to watch Twitch (on Chrome), the stream is very laggy and on very low FPS.
On lower demanding GPU games the stream is fine without any issues.
While i do play Total War 2 the PC monitor tuns off and the PC is unresponsive to anything. This happens after like 30 minutes of gameplay.
The GPU is utilized 100% and reached temperatures around 85-90 degrees.
From what i know the GPU can handle those temperatures but still this might be the issue?
Maybe the power source is not good enough? I have tested the memory sticks and GPU (with Fumark for 10 minutes) and everything seemed ok.

So i dont know what to do about these issues why does my PC become unresponsive and why there is a huge lag when watching twitch while playing higher demand games.

After installing all the components i also reinstalled Windows 10 Pro fresh on an SSD.

Any opinions or help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi alexandrun85,

You're maxing out your GPU the r9 390 is quite dated now especially paired with a 9th gen intel, either lower settings or an upgrade is required. Cheapest options would be 1060 6gb/rx580 but you should be looking at 1070ti and above to really push that i5.

the case comes with 3 quality fans (2 in and 1 out). yeah maybe indeed in doesnt have enough colling. The processor doesnt go beyond 55 degrees with Twitch, a game opened and an adroid emulator opened at the same time. So that thing is covered to the Noctua cooler. I guess i need mroe fans for the case then but i only have room to put 3 more on top of the case ....

Now a new symptom came along. Sometimes teh computer completely freezes for about 2 seconds while in that game. I also noticed that the audio on twitch is very poor. Like lagging as well and distorted voices but the audio quality is better after i lowered the settings.
Any toughs?

I did bring my GPU temp down to about 70 Degrees since i lowered the settings. Also i read here actually that the R9 390 should go to around 90 degrees while in full load and its normal temperature for it.
The funny things is that i used this GPU on my old setup which had an FX-8350 that had no issues with twitch and the rest but indeed with lowered settings.
Whats weird is that even after i lowered the settings it still inst enough for twitch to be ok while playing that GPU intensive game.
And like i said after i lowered the settings the image is ok now but the sound is very poor quality....
