I thinking about getting a i5 9600k and pairing it with a gtx 1070.
I will be playing games at 1080p with a 144hz monitor
I will be streaming at 720p60 or 900p60
Also i would be watching streams while playing games
I was looking at the ryzen 2700 because the prices of each cpu are almost the same and i was also looking at the 8700k but prices are still to expensive for me.

Yeah. I would just research it. Im not an expert so unfortunately I cant offer much advice outside of my experience. With my 9900k I stream at about 5500 bit rate medium encoding 1080p 60fps. that gets me a pretty smooth stream with the exception of ww3 which is super choppy. If you get an 8700k or 2700x you shouldn't have a problem with these settings. Of course 720p you'll also be fine.

I ran a 9600k for a little bit. I could not stream with it. 6 cores and no hyperthreading. i tried streaming pubg, bfv, and a few other games which resulted in an unwatchable twitch stream. I was able to successfully stream league of legends though. I was doing 720p 60fps.

Don't expect to stream newer titles, it won't go well. the 2700 will be much better suited to your needs.

I would research and see if anyone else is using the cpu for streaming and turning out ok. I really see it bottle-necking you though with recent titles such as bo4.
