GIGABYTE G1 Z87 - Code 9C

Hey guys any help would be appreciated if you have the knowledge: My Gigabyte G1 Z87 mobo is displaying 9C about 30% of the time when powering on (w/ a blank screen of course), and upon forcing it off and turning back on it always boots properly. Any thoughts on how to eradicate this annoying problem? Thank you in advance

My PC if it helps:

GIGABYTE G1 Gaming G1.Sniper Z87 LGA 1150 Intel Z87

G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM

Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell Quad-Core 3.5 GHz

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 970 4GB

Sorry for a very delayed reply. Unfortunately this didn't work and the 9C problem still persists. All of my devices are plugged into 3.0 ports. Anyone have any ideas?

Just wanted to update this older thread as I forgot to when I solved this. For anyone experiencing this problem --> I installed a new CMOS battery on my mobo and it fixed it. I felt kind of dumb when it worked but hey whatevs.
