First gaming pc build

Solution
1. Sign up for Newegg's email subscriber promos. I just saw them recently dropping the 8700k to $330.

2. An NH-D15 is totally unnecessary unless you want to OC. I got a Cryorig H7 for my 8700k and it's great at stock speed.

3. That case only has 1 fan top and 1 rear, and you're spending a total of $170 on it and fans, which should buy you something MUCH better regarding airflow. Solid front panel cases are a bit quieter, but hotter.

4. A 1070 Ti only requires 550w, and that's total sys power and conservative. So you're spending too much there too.

If you hit better deals and reconfigure a couple parts, you could potentially save as much as $200 and get a much better GPU and/or more storage. 500GB gets eaten up really fast these days.

All depends what you can get the CPU for and you only have about a month to do it before another 15% tariff hike hits North America Jan 1st. Hard to say if we'll ever see that $330 deal again anytime soon.

The pricing is not great even on GPUs right now but if you somehow manage to save another $200 you may get lucky and see a great holiday sale. GPUs are becoming a real pain to shop for. Not long before Turing hit I saw a EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 drop momentarily to $630 on a Newegg email promo. Right now you can't even touch a 1080 for that unless you get a reference model.

It's funny because for months I bemoaned the $600 I paid for my EVGA 1080 SC at B&H , which was the first significant price drop after the last mining craze, but now it's a pretty good price.
