I'm switching motherboard and cpu, from a Ryzen 7 2700 and a Gigabyte AB-350 Gaming 3 MOBO, to an i7 8700k and an ASRock Z370 Pro4.

Do I need to do anything on my PC before installation? Like reinstall windows os or something? let me know.

Licensing and Operation.

Licensing (assuming Windows 10)
For the OS activation, read and do this before you change any parts:

Operation
You'll likely need a full wipe and reinstall after the parts swap. Prepare for this.

You will likely need to reinstall windows after the change, not much point doing it before. It is possible it might just detect the new hardware and work but there is a potential for issues particularly with a total change of chipset and processor family.

Using an online login and associating your windows copy with it makes transferring the windows licence easier which you may have to do.
If you have an OEM copy of windows it may not be able to be reactivated though, the motherboard change counts as a new PC.
