hello all,

i recently bought my first ever mechanical keyboard logitech G613 (wireless)

for the first couple of way the keyboard behaved in a pleasantly different manner. what i mean is when i press and hold 'a' key then press 'd' key (while still holding 'a' key) then release 'd' key, it will type a again. so it looks like
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddddddddddddddaaaaaaaaaa

note that i didnt press the 'a' key again rather it was kept long pressed when i first started.

now out of nowhere this characteristic changed and it doesnt type a again (even when i am still holding 'a' key). it stops typing at all.
so it looks like
aaaaaaaaaaaaadddddddddddddddddd

i dont know what happened but i would like to go back to aaaddddaaaaa thing.

i hope i am clear on this situation.

help me out .. i really appreciate your suggestions.

If there's no setting to alter that behavior in the keyboard drivers, then there was probably a driver update which modified the behavior. If you're letting Win 10 auto-update drivers, you may want to try rolling back the keyboard driver (right-click This PC => Manage => device manager => right-click hardware => Properties => driver tab => Roll Back Driver). You can also try manually installing an older version of the Logitech keyboard driver.

If you ask me though, neither behavior you've listed is right. The behavior you want is less wrong than what it's doing now. But to me the proper behavior is:

aaaaaaaaaaaadadadadadadadadadadaaaaaaaaaaa

If the keyboard has multiple modes (like for gaming), you can try a different mode. Keyboards do not have a separate connection to each individual key. They use a few dozen connections which each touch multiple keys. The combination of these connections tells the keyboard which key was pressed. This unfortunately can result in phantom keystrokes when multiple keys are pressed. Por example pressing j and k together may type an l because the combination of connections the j and k use is identical to an l. Not a big deal in word processing, but deadly in gaming. So gaming keyboards often have the ability to modify the connection configuration, so you can tweak things to eliminate these types ghost keystrokes.
