Okay here is my setup currently.
Motherboard:ga-ma785gm-us2h, BIOS:F11, Rev:00
CPU:AMD Phenom X4 9550, 2.2ghz 4cores 4threads (Stock cooler)
Ram:G.skill DDR2,4x2gb (8gb total) 401.8MHz
GPU:AMD Radeon HD 5570 1gb
PSU:EVGA 500w (80plusWhite) (Just purchased)
SSD:Kingston pro 240gb (Just purchased)

Parts i want to upgrade to!
CPU:AMD Phenom II 955 BE 3.2 GHz 4core 4threads
RAM:Kingston HyperX 8GB (4x2GB) 1066MHZ DDR2 RAM PC2-8500
GPU: GTX 670 2gb (Asus DirectCU II)
CPU cooler:Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

Thank you for reading! My name is Tayler and I have been dying for a PC upgrade. I was just curious if all these parts are compatible. I understand i may have to change Bios version witch i have never done before so is it hard? or fast? Also if the 212 evo does not fit with my ram ill just pick a different cooler.

Solution
Your RAM is 800 MHz because CPU-Z shows only half speed because it's DDR memory (Double Data Rate) which means writing and reading at same time giving effectively equivalent of 800MHz previous (SDRAM) was giving.
Also according to that list, highest you can go is Phenom II X4 940 @3000MHz which would be an improvement but it's based on Deneb, not Thuban core and is nominally AM2+ processor while Thuban is AM3 processor.
I don't think that MB is compatible with Thuban processors, it's only compatible with AM2+ CPUs and Those Phenom II CPUs need AM3/AM3+ motherboards. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-MA785GM-US2H-rev-10#support-cpu
Besides, it can't really take 125W processors. According to that list, you already have best CPU that would work on it.
1066MHz RAM is not much faster than your 800MHz memory anyway, no use trying to swap.
As it has only SATA2, your SSD will run half speed although it will be still much faster than any HDD.

Yeah I do not know man I am newer to PC building and I have tried to look this up a million times. and people with the same motherboard have AM3 cpus in it i even asked on amazon for multiple processors and they said yes as long as i was using a certain bios. also 2.2 ghz is the best i can get on here? lol i know its old and i thought my RAM was 401.8mhz not 800 i have cpuz and i could not get a straight answer. and yeah my hdd failed cause it was old so i wanted more speed and reliability. I already knew about Sata 2 being slower but i plan to do a full upgrade to ddr4 based system soon but just for now i wanted to get the best i could for the current setup. If anything what do you think the best GPU i could get is to pair with this cpu so there is no bottleneck. Thanks for the help BTW!!!
