[SOLVED] 1TB Data-Drive to 2TB Raid 1 drives?

Hi! I've bought 2x 2TB Drives I want to use as RAID1 data storage. I have a 1TB "D: drive" now with a few programs installed on. It's not a OS-drive, but I still want to keep the software working without re-installing them on the new RAID1 with the 2TB Drives.

How can I move the 1TB Data drive to the RAID1 of two new drives without re-installing programs?

Solution

After the RAID volume is functional, copy all the data from the 1TB to the 2TB RAID.
Then, you have to give it the same drive letter as the 1TB used to have.

As long as everything is in the exact same configuration as before (same path and drive letter) it should work.
