Different BRAND SSDs matter when it comes to games?

Hi, so i have couple two SSDs one being Samsung 840 PRO and the other being Intel 520.

I also have another m.2 SSD being Corsair MP500 120GB ssd.

My question is that when it comes to installing games does any of the brands that i mentioned that i have matter when it comes to loading times for games? Or even smoother gameplay for games?

As of now the Samsung 840 pro that i have is my primary drive and it has my OS and major big title games installed in this drive.

For my Intel 520 i just have games installed in this drive, which some games are somewhat old, too small games and some major titles, such as Forza 7.

So far the research i have done the MP500 M.2 drive seems to me the fastest among my other two SSDs?

Should i install my main OS and major titles in my MP500 M.2 drive? From what i seen so far the MP500 outperforms the other two ssds i have. But at the same time the MP500 i have is only 120gb.

My main concern is for games and looking for smoother gameplay and maybe faster load times? Does that matter when it comes to SSDs?

OFC the M2 is faster, if you are using the proper port for it.
Secondly unless you are still loading too slowly, you don't need to change. But yes, loading speeds increase as speed of your hard drive increases, since you load the files faster, but the size doesn't change, so if you load 1 GB of data, you will load it in 2 seconds on the other SSD and in a bit less than 2 seconds on the M2 drive maybe. If you are loading much larger data you may see a bigger difference. Files loading don't influence the speed at which your CPU and GPU performs actions, so you still have to wait for that, that's why you will never get your loading lower than a few seconds.

Also keep in mind the TBW of the drive, which normally would keep you at least 5...

Also keep in mind the TBW of the drive, which normally would keep you at least 5 years if you write 300 GB every day. So you should normally install only stuff you intend to keep for a longer time. Samsung has a little more random reading speed + higher TBW.

I recommend you take your most played game that has many loading screens or longest loading screen and put that on your M2. Then see the difference. There are some games that get constant huge useless updates, like Ark, don't keep that on your good SSD.

HEY, TY all for the quick replies. Ya with what everyone is saying, i think i will just stick with my Samsung 256GB PRO 840 as my main drive with my main OS and Main Big major title games like BF5, to Overwatch.

As of now i will just use my M.2 drive for games.

Hi, thanks fo replying to my post. For me the game that i have somewhat long load times is GTA 5. Due to my GTA 5 being HEAVILY modded. With lots of custom cars, to maps, to graphic mods, etc. The game normally takes about 60ish GIGS. But due to my mod, it can go as high as 100gigs. So i would like to see if there is any speed difference once i install GTA 5 for the MP500.
