Would these components in this build work together.

Hello.

I am new to making pcs and it is quite daunting having to think about things I lack lots knowledge on. I am also on a budget. I have put together a build using pc part picker. Can you check its compatibility. Would the board allow some light overclocking, nothing extreme or anything. As well would all these parts fit in the case.
I have a pc that is old and I was wandering if I could take the HD out of it and put it in the new build. I have successfully installed windows on to a usb stick and was wandering whether to get the HD wiped and add it on, or could I just keep it as it is and have two storage devices with windows installed (HD and SSD). Aswell is there any tips you can give for new builders.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, yes no issues on the changes you have made. The only thing I would suggest is the monitor...It would be much, much better to get a monitor with a HDMI connection and here are a couple of options:

First of all this is slightly higher price and I know you are trying to save money but this AOC monitor is on sale and is AMD freesync!!!! 75Hz HDMI and on sale for £89.98 on Amazon....If you can afford it, it would be a perfect match for the RX 570

https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-Monitor-Response-Adaptive-G2260VWQ6/dp/B0158L13M4/ref=sr_1_4?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1543880072&sr=1-4&keywords=24+inch+monitor&refinements=p_n_feature_browse-bin%3A319912031

This AOC 21.5 inch has a HDMI connection and is on sale at Amazon.co.uk for £73.92...
Everything you have on the list will work very well with no issues....

If you can stretch another £15, you can pick up this SSD at 500GB for £49.98 which is on sale now at Amazon UK...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Technology-SA400S37-480G-Solid/dp/B01N0TQPQB/ref=sr_1_8?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1543680042&sr=1-8&keywords=500gb+ssd

For just a fraction more you get double the size SSD....

Also, I would use the new SSD as your primary Boot drive and your old HD as your data drive....The 500GB will give you tons of space for games etc as well...

Hello

Can you have a look at this. Replaced the HDD for a 480gb one, will do for the time being and will add more storage later. I remove the power supply for a much cheaper one as well as the MB which got a decent review. Furthermore, I want to add this monitor as looks nicer aesthetically. Only problem doesn't have HDMI so I probably need to get dvi-d to hdmi cable. Please can you check and tell me your opinion. Please add any links to more cables I need. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/YDk6dX

The Acer SA220Q 21.5 inch is a IPS screen which is a great screen with HDMI and a super thin bezel though at £81.98 at ebuyer and in stock:

https://www.ebuyer.com/857249-acer-sa220q-21-5-full-hd-ips-monitor-um-ws0ee-002

Also you have this Acer KA240HQ8 23.6 inch with HDMI at just £79.97 - 24 inch makes a big difference..Not the nicest bezel...but it's for gaming so no issues

https://www.ebuyer.com/720852-acer-ka240hqbbid-23-6-led-monitor-um-ux6ee-b09

Finally the monitor you have chosen is not a bad monitor, it is actually quiet good with a good set of reviews especially for the price...

As to a DVI-D to Hdmi cable then this will do the job...you do not need to spend a lot on cable...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Directional-Adapter-Support-Compatible-Raspberry-Gold/dp/B07D6RL3VN/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1543880466&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=dvi-d+to+hdmi+cable&psc=1

and for a standard HDMI cable just make sure it is 2.0 for future proofing and a cheap as chips Amazon one is here at £4.09

https://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasics-High-Speed-HDMI-2-0-Cable/dp/B014I8SIJY/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1543880540&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=hdmi+cable&psc=1
