These specs can run fortnite at like 100 fps avg with all low settings and 3d res 100%:
CPU: I3 7100 3.90Ghz
GPU: nVidia GeForce 1050 TI
RAM: 8 GB
OS: WIN 10
If I buy an I7 6700k, what will the increase be if running at same settings?

The 6700K is still a fantastic gaming CPU that holds it's own against the big boys and for Fortnite it will be perfect and will give you better FPS than your current i3 7100...If you are getting it cheap, then yes it would be better provided the motherboard supports it...List of all motherboards chipsets that support the 6700K below...

Oh and it overclocks very well...

I am not really into overclocking, i do not know how to do it properly and if i mess up, i am not getting another one for like a year, but thank you for your answer, but can you tell like on average how much fps am i gonna get?

Anywhere from 20 and above FPS the 6700K is a quad core 8 thread CPU clocked to 4GHz, the 7100 is only a 2 core 4 thread CPU and any games that can utilise the extra cores and threads which is most now will favour the 6700K but as I said only if you are getting it at a good price.......

I am getting it at about 430 euros.

Oh my, that is a lot of money to be on a 2 generation old platform....I would not do it...Hold on I will get back to you, can you tell me which country you are in?

I had not realised how expensive the 6700K would be...that is too much and you can get a 8600K/9600K or 8700K for that price. You have a three options, number one, go get the 6700K or 7700K whatever is cheaper...

Number 2, spend the money on a better GPU, this will provide an immediate boost to frame rates and I have seen GTX 1060 6GB in Romania for 1.139,27 RON or roughly Euro 270

https://www.pcgarage.ro/placi-video/palit/geforce-gtx-1060-6gb-ddr5-192-bit-2/

Even better jump up to a GTX 1070ti for 1.849,99 RON or roughly Euro 390...This would give you the biggest bang for buck immediately and you frame rate jump would be huge..

https://www.pcgarage.ro/placi-video/inno3d/geforce-gtx-1070-ti-x2-v2-8gb-ddr5-256-bit/

Option 3 is moving to the Z370 or Z390 or Ryzen platform though that would cost a minimum of Euro 600...I personally think, upgrade the GPU now and when you next look to upgrade, move to the new platform...

Right now a GTX 1060 6GB or Radeon 580/590 or even better a GTX 1070ti would provide the biggest increase in performance for you.....Moving to a 6700K or 7700K will mean you are stuck on an older generation platform and that Euro $430 you have to spend would be wasted....

Hopefully others can jump in with better suggestions as this is a tough one....

I know Euro 430 is a lot of money and I want you to get the best value you can!!!! so this needs to be a well thought out move...At least if you spend the money on a better GPU now you can then use the better GPU in a new PC when you upgrade next....and it will give you way more than a 20FPS boost!

What if i buy a i7 7700k? I cannot really buy much cuz of budget, so i think i will buy a processor this year and next year maybe a 1060 6gb and like more ram

Hi mate, the 7700K is also very good and a little better than the 6700K with a higher clock speed so yes it would be better. The only issue I worry about is the cost of the CPU, if you could have got the 6700K or 7700K cheaper then it would be no issues at all....and I just want to make sure you are happy...as for the same price you can get a GTX 1070ti and that would be a far bigger difference than the 6700K or 7700K in terms of immediate FPS gains...Then later you can jump on the Ryzen or 8700K or 9700K next year...

To summarise, yes the 6700K or the 7700K will be a big, big step up from the i3 7100 and will make for a great gaming platform but then you will have to make a wholesale change to a new platform the next round..

I really need a better cpu tho, i want my browser to run smoother as well and the alt+tab and everything, so i guess it would be better to get a cpu. Thank you for the big help!
