[SOLVED] FX 8350 cant overclock

you motherboard cant supply it enough power. Only top end boards overlock properley with the 8350 due to power requirements, its goes over 125watts when pushed.

no point in wasting money on that platform its out of date and cpu is now weak, Ryzen is far superior and overclocks better. Worth saving up and swapping out the motheroard, cpu and ram, the different is night and day, i swapped a while back and wish I id it sooner.

i plan on it maybe next year or maybe the year after..the only game i have a problem with is bf1 all my other games run 60 plus...i just bought this cpu hoping to get soled 60 fps in bf1 ..and im sure if i get my 8350 to at least 4.5 i would get the performance i want..can you recommend me a board under 100 that will overclock well?

Not worth it, if youre going to buy a new motherboard just save up the 200 more to get a Ryzen processor.
Additionally, youre going to need a new cooler to keep that processor in check. You push 125w at stock, near 200w at 4.5GHz.
I highly doubt reaching 4.5 would help anyway.
