I have a Dell Inspiron 5555 laptop which originally had 4GB of DDR3 ram and my brother had bought a macbook with 2GB of ram and well.. lets just say that it may of been a mistake giving him my original ram. I bought 16GB of DDR3 ram off of ebay and popped them in and everything seemed fine for awhile until my windows blue screened me multiple times and i wiped the whole disk to get a clean installation. So i get a windows 10 iso file onto a usb since that was the original os and booted the installer up, everything SEEMED fine but it said that a file was missing or corrupted so i redid the burn on a different usb and it gave me the same error multiple times so i tried Haiku, ZORIN OS, Ubuntu, Linux Minth, and others i forgot and they all gave me the same error so i just officially gave up on trying to get it to work i used my brothers mac to get the iso on the usb and idk if thats the problem or the ram or anything else and im honestly on the verge of just throwing it out and wait 20 years to get a new pc since we are on a budget. If anyone has any advice or helpful tips then please let me know i could really use the help! PS: i already contacted Dell and Microsoft and they couldn't help me at all.

Solution
It looks like Etcher doesnt work with all ISO's inc Windows and some linux ISO's

You may have to find a windows computer and use rufus. Or find another program for the Mac that works
