For the money I do have I can't really find a CPU much better than mine in my country, however, I've seen one that really caught my eye (an i5 6400) for 145$ on AliExpress. The seller is labeled as a "Top Brand", exists for 4 years and has 99% positive feedback, which is a plus. However, I'm not really familiar with the technology of the processor itself, so can somebody more savvy than me help me and tell me based on the info presented, is it worth a try.

I don't know - that's why I'm asking here.

Btw. I remember you from an issue I had 2 years ago and only you could help me. Thank you for that :)

(you're welcome)

That's one of the issues with Ali, and even ebay.
99% pos feedback does not really mean 99%. A lot of those could be faked.

You need a new CPU? Why?
What do you have now, and on what motherboard?

I have a H110M-DGS that's meant for Intel's 6th and 7th generation processors
I currently have a i3 6100 which even though is okay is dragging me down when playing newer games due to being dual core.

Well, the i5 6400 would work.
The only question would be where to buy and for how much.

Well, this offer was right on the money since I actually do have 145$.
Could you look at the advert please, and tell me if there are any major red flags? Is it worth a try?

That's a bit out of my reach. Looks like I'll have to gamble with Ali.
Oh and by the way, I have a Cooler Master 500W PSU, will it be able to handle this much wattage increase? The calculator says it could, just wanna make sure.

Not enough of a power increase to worry about.
