[SOLVED] Z370XP SLI - boot loop

Built a custom PC with the following pieces of hardware:
Gigabyte Z370XP SLI Motherboard
9th Gen i5 9600k CPU
16 GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 3000 MHz memory
635W Raidmax Thunder v2 Power Supply

Upon assembly with only the CPU and RAM plugged in (No Hard Drive/Boot Devices) the motherboard powers on - LEDs on the board and Memory Sticks come on, CPU fan starts. After a few seconds of this, the system shuts off, before repeating after a few seconds, never making it to the POST screen.

I have verified the power supply works, as well as the video card, and this is the second motherboard I have tried with the other components - I had a Gigabyte Z370P but sent it back for a replacement first, as I assumed it was the problem - and I am unable to independently test the RAM/CPU without returning them for a replacement. It seems unlikely that I've gotten two defective motherboards, opposed to one of the other components being bad or me just missing something, but I'm not sure the best way to proceed with solving that puzzle from here. Any thoughts? While on, the LED indicators cycle between the VGA, CPU, and DRAM lights, never reaching the boot light. It stays on anywhere from 15-25 seconds each 'attempt'.

I have tried booting with no RAM (Long Beep from speaker) as well as reseating the CPU after checking for bent pins. I also tried the ram in both pairs of channels, as well as individual sticks in all slots.

I think you are right about this - I was just starting to think the same, I misread the documentation around it and am unable to get it to boot from USB, so I'm likely going to just order another at this point unfortunately.

I am going to check a couple places in the morning and see, but it will likely be cheaper to just wait a couple of days for a replacement. Thanks for confirming my suspicions though.
