Hello,

I'm going to upgrade my PC with:

ryzen 2600x + b450 mobo
geforce 1050
16gb ram
hdd+sdd

Can I reuse my 7yo Seasonic SS-560KM? It worked flawlessly with my 2500k and always was a bit more overkill in terms of power. Never had any issues with it (that I know of) and I can't hear it with PC being on the floor near me. The only thing is that there was plenty of dust inside the case over it's lifespan.

Do you think it's on the safe side to continue using it or should I drop ~80-90 eur on a new PSU?

A poor quality unit, definitely. A quality unit won't risk your other components though, no matter how old it gets.

I would expect the fan will go on that PSU long before it becomes unstable or anything.
It'll heat up & will shut itself down to protect itself (and your other components). It's not going to damage anything.

You could dust out the entire PSU with a dust blower. Apart from that, could you give us a run down of your prior system? List your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

To give us an indication of the sort of taxation the PSU went through.

"Safe" to use? Absolutely!

While getting a bit long in the tooth at this point, and outside of warranty (5yr on that one), it was still a top quality PSU in it's day.
Even if it were to fail tomorrow, it's not going to take any component with it - it'll just stop working.

I'd continue using it if it were me.

I've read that old PSU's can take out some other parts like mobo or cpu and that's something I'd rather avoid.

Yeah, I loved my choice when I bought it, lol. I was/am afraid that it could take out something else with it, but if it's not a possibility than obviously I'd gladly continue using it.

95W TDP CPU, 116W TDP GPU.

Even with some healthy overclocking to both, your max draw would've been <350W.

That PSU should still have plenty life left in it yet.
