I switched from a i5 661 to a i5 760 and when I tried turning the pc on it did, except the monitor, keyboard and mouse didn't. So I tried a cmos reset. I tried the jumper and battery removal methods, but the problem persists.
When putting the old cpu back in everything worked fine, so I guess that the new cpu is the problem.
Can anyone help me here?

Specs:
Asus P7P55D P55
8 GB ddr3 ram
I5 760 cpu

EDIT: mobo

BIOS version says 2101 and 2101 is the latest update (https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P7P55D/HelpDesk_BIOS/).
I'm sure that the cpu is supported https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P7P55D/HelpDesk_CPU/

Unfortunately I don't have a speaker attached and I don't have one lying around anyway. Will this work by using earphones?
