I have a Msi gaming trio 2080 ti Over clocked and I7 8086k over clocked and 16 gb of ram. I am using the B360M Bazooka motherboard. I'm getting not much more FPS then my previous EVGA 1080 ti with a 8700k over clocked CPU. Could the motherboard be the problem? Is this a bad motherboard for a over clocked CPU? Also can I change out motherboards for a better one without loosing the Over clocking of the CPU or will it go back to a stock CPU when placed in another motherboard. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Solution
You should of just stuck with the 1080ti depending on the monitor your not going to see much increase.

You need a Z370/Z390 board to overclock then do a fresh install of windows.

At least it’s suppose to be. I Picked out each part from the CYBERTRONPC website. There was no mention from cybertronpc build team that it would be an issue over clocking the cpu with that motherboard.

You cant overclock with a b350 board.

Well that’s upsetting after paying so much for this build. Would I get any better performance if I upgrade my mother board? My GPU is suppose to be over clocked also. Would I loose the over clock on that if I upgrade my motherboard?
