i3-8350K reaching 80c whilst gaming

i've noticed recently that individual core temps on my I3 have reached 75-80c when gaming, this has never ever happened before and i've even gone to as far as decreasing my core speed from 4.5GHz to 4.4GHz and still getting the same results, i have a cooler master Hyper 212 evo, so my cooler is decent at doing its job. Should i be worried at these speeds or not (cpu load when playing games varies between 70-100% usage)

How long ago did you installed the Hyper 212 evo?
Have you checked the fan speed of the cooler? Does it ramp up when the temperature raises?
Check your case air flow.
Maybe try applying new thermal compound.

80c is still safe. Also the 212 Evo is ok for light overclocking buts it’s still a low end air cooler, don’t expect great temps.

the CPU is about 5 months old and i have programmed the fans to ramp up if it gets too hot and i say i installed the cooler roughly 6 months ago but this 80c problem has only occured recently

thank you very much man, i was just so unsure if it was safe or not, i will definitely be looking to go for a water cooling solution soon enough
