[SOLVED] 3200MHz RAM on 2400MHz MOBO Overclocking to factory RAM speed

So I just bought myself a pair of Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB RAM sticks at 3200MHz and saddly I did not check the speed that my MOBO can run the ram ( 2400MHz max ) now I had manually overclocked the RAM to 3200 and all the testing I have done so far suggest that they are indeed running at 3200MHz. My motherboard is a Asus Z170 Sabertooth Mark 1 PSU is a Corsair 650w 80+ Gold and my Processor is a i7 7700k. What I want to ask is this : Is there any danger of running my RAM at their factory speed of 3200 ? Is my motherboard or my RAM at risk if I do so ? and as far as I've seen tho the speed works fine the latency is a bit changed from 16 to 18 in CPU-Z.

You are correct the memory isn't supported by the motherboard. It is unusual for a motherboard to have supported memory without any option for overclocked frequencies. The BIO Version 3703 does mention increased DRAM compatibility.

The updated Memory QVL LIST does include memory up to 3000 MHz.

So I don't think that there is a problem with overclocking to 3200 MHz. Just make sure that the overclock is stable.

So far I have been using them at 3200MHz without any issue after playing a ton of games for long periods of time like Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Battlefield 1, AC Origins, etc.
