I'm getting into streaming and i thought i could use my current PC that is about a year old.

Spec wise: ryzen 1700 16gb ddr4 gtx 1070 2tb hdd 512gb sdd

However, I've noticed some problem with my current setup when I'm streaming games like Battle Field 1, I get lags to a point I can't aim and shoot before i get shot down. When I'm only playing the game, I notice no lags.

as i was researching a bit more, I hear that people run dual system with separate gaming rig and dedicated streaming rig.

I still have my old pc sitting around so i got to think maybe i could use that for dedicated streaming pc.

old pc spec: i7-2600k (not overclocked) 12gb ddr3 radeon hd6870
i still need to invest some money if i were to utilize my old pc as i need psu, case, hdd, and streaming card.

would it be an improvement to get a dedicated streaming PC with capture cards like elgato hd60 pro and be worth an investment?

Thanks!

You definitely need a ram change. Single channel and slow ram, highly kills Ryzen performance. Your 2600k isn't running in dual channel either, or I would say that would probably game better, especially if you gave it a slight overclock.

well since it was a prebuilt pc that was gifted, i didn't have choice in choosing the parts which is a shame because some of the parts including ram is garbage.
I believe the ram is crucial ddr4 2400 single 16gb stick. Also, my cpu cooler is stock cooler from the cpu box and the mobo is msi b350m and to my knowledge those spec won't provide me much overclock headroom so i didn't even bother overclocking honestly.
I doubt that overclocking a ryzen given the cost necessary to do so was worth it.

Would you think that my old pc with 2600k be able to handle streaming at 1080p 60fps?
or do you have any other recommendation where to go from my situation?
