Hi there
I’ve looked at lots of threads about GPUs not recognized, but they all look to be with new builds, and mine is different. I changed the motherboard “iGPU Multi Monitor” setting to Enabled, then back to Disabled, and now my GTX 970 isn’t recognized by the motherboard.

Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Pro4
CPU: i5-4670k
GPU: Asus Strix GTX 970 OC
RAM: 32GB
Other: Samsung Odyssey+ vr headset

So, I changed that motherboard setting while trying to troubleshoot an HDMI connection with the GTX 970 and Samsung Odyssey+. Clearly this was a mistake because after this change, the GTX970 is no longer recognized. After changing the iGPU Multi Monitor back to Disabled, the GTX 970 is no longer recognized. I’ve confirmed the Primary Graphics card setting is PCIE. The PCIE1 slot shows empty in the motherboard checking tool, but the card lights work and the fans spin up when powering up the computer.

I’ve tried reseating the card. I’ve tried clearing CMOS via both jumper and via removing the CMOS battery. I’ve updated to the latest BIOS. I’ve tried the card in the other PCIE slot. None of that has worked, and to be clear the card was working before this settings change.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Just an update that I also bought a new BIOS chip online and still having this issue with the card not being recognized. I’ve also tried clearing CMOS after getting this chip and no luck there either. GPU is still not shown in either PCIE slot in the motherboard system browser area.

Unfortunately I don’t have other computers available to be able to test with.
