My computer keeps shutting down then turns on automatically while gaming and sometimes it would not even turn back on i have to turn off my power supply then turn on my computer again. Never dealt with this issue before, started happening about a month ago.

Specs:
- 4790k Stock (26°C low 60 - 70° while gaming)
- h105 liquid cooler
- gtx 980ti ftw stock (32° low 70 - 80° while gaming)
- 512gb Samsung SSD M2 + 1tb hard drive
- Corsair Dominator 16gb (2 x 8gb)
- MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition
- 800 Power Supply EVGA

Not sure whats going on i usually fix my own computer but this problem keeps happening every other day or so and could NOT figure out whats wrong. Maybe 1 of the parts is dying???

This only happens when i play Black Ops 4, CS:GO or my brother playing DOTA or my SON playing Fortnite, any games pretty much. I tried to monitor the temperature of my CPU & GPU and both seems fine. Also changed the thermal paste and made it cooler by 5°

Furthermore, the 1st time it shut down on me like i said a month ago. It wont let me turn my computer on UNLESS i move 1 of the MEMORY on another slot. (used to be on slot 2 & 4 according to the motherboard manual) NOW im using memory slot 3 & 4. Kinda odd but anyone willing to help?

Thank you in advance.

Do you have an uninterrupted power supply connected to your machine? I had the same problem with restarts during games due to overloading my UPS (had a bunch of peripherals plugged into it). I plugged everything but the PC into another power strip and had no further problems.

I tried using just 1 stick. It was fine for 3 days then earlier shut down on me again.

Hmmm...power supply or maybe the motherboard?
