Hello,

I just built my first budget gaming computer.
Spec:
Ryzen 3 2200g
Gammaxx 400
MSI B450 A PRO
GeIL SUPER LUCE RGB SYNC AMD Edition 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000)

I am in the middle of overclocking the CPU with the ryzen master and intel burn test v2.54 (standard stress level) but I think I am doing something wrong. As of now, my OC is at 3975 with 1.35 CPU Volt and Max temp at 66. My understanding is it generally stops between 3.8 and 3.9. The only thing I touched in the BIOS was X AMP to push my ram to 2933. Is it okay to keep push it until it crashes or should I stop now and lower it to 3.9(or even lower)? Should I also run other stress test like prime95?

Edit: The test failed at 4000 so I lowered it to 3975 rather than increasing the voltage.

Thank you,
David

If you follow this guide for specific methods and filling in any blanks you might have:

And this guide I wrote, for an understanding of the underlying reasons why testing is important, as well as what kinds of tests you should be running in order to verify stability, then you will be much further along in understanding what exactly it is that you are doing and whether a configuration is stable and thermally compliant, or not.
