Display issue possibly regarding on-board graphics and RX 570?

Hi All,

I have been having issues for quite some time now - I'd like to say close to 3 weeks - and the actual troubleshooting of my PC has been disrupted due to school assignments, family events etc. However now I have some serious downtime and actually want to fix my PC. The issue involves the fact I am unable to get a display on my new RX 570 when installed correctly. However, I can actually get a display from my motherboard. I have gone through countless different methods such as:
- Force disabling on board graphics (this resulted in no display from on-board or PCI-E)
- Removing the CMOS battery on one occasion overnight and another for a good 3 hours.
- Grounding the RESETCMOS pins on my motherboard
- Multiple driver uninstalls through DDU. This includes the 2400g APU drivers I originally had as well as the RX 570)
- Booting the PC in safe mode and then installing the drivers (this was done through a disk and this method has been done multiple times)
- Complete wipe of windows twice
- Reseating Ram
- And yes I have checked for the obvious: monitor works, all cables are plugged correctly etc.
- Likely a few other things as well that I cannot remember

On one occasion I was messing around in the BIOS and one of the things I did was force disable the on board graphics. For whatever reason I couldn't remember what I did and as I was getting no display from on-board or discreet I sent it into the warranty team from the store I purchased it from. They updated the bios for me and it was working however I removed the GPU before sending it as it wasn't purchased from them (shouldn't have done that).

I did have the PC working this morning after doing a full DDU of drivers in safe mode etc, however I was receiving a horrid static sound whenever I had audio playing. So I followed this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_PIgIU1nA4&t=469s) after several other methods and upon restart I once again had no display. This was odd, as I hadn't touched anything remotely involving the display.

I am sorry for the long post, however I believe I am out of options now. More research on the internet brings up similar methods and none seem to work. Does anyone know how I can fix my display? It is quite late where I am, 10:29 so I probably won't be able to answer anything right away.

PC: Ryzen 2400g, RX 570, Gigabyte b450M DS3H, Aerocool Rave 800W PSU, 8GB Ram

That PSU is an expensive paperweight, sadly. You should pick up a more reliable unit. In fact, does the system work when powered without the discrete GPU? Are you also on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard?

List your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Given that you're on Ryzen, you should ideally have a dual channel DDR4-3200MHz ram kit to take advantage of the platform. See if you can borrow a PSU from a friend or even better, take the GPU to a donor system that has a reliably built PSU with at least 650W's at it's disposal(for the entire system).

You don't have to install drivers unless the GPU is detected in the first place.

1) Have you connected the HDMI cable correctly(From the GPU output, to the monitor input)?
2) When you have the GPU installed in the PCI-E slot, did you plug in the 8XPCI-E power cable too?
3) If you have done the above correctly. Does the GPU fan spin up when turning ON the PC?

CPU: Ryzen 2400g
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450m DS3H
Ram: Forgot the exact brand however it is dual channel 2400mhz
SSD/HDD: 1TB WD Blue
GPU: RX 570 4GB
PSU: Aerocool Rave 800W
Chassis:Aerocool Aero 500
OS:Windows 10

Latest BIOS update and the system works when it isn't powered by the GPU. Also whilst it isn't the most reliable PSU I believed it should have been able to handle my components. At the moment I don't believe I have any other systems I can check my components on either.

Yes the GPU appears to operate normally and everything is plugged in correctly, Even tried different outputs in terms of the display.

I was able to force integrated graphics and use the pc with the graphics card installed for some time while the drivers downloaded.

What is the exact model of the RX 570 you are using?
And yeah, as Lutfij mentioned, the PSU is the lowest tier PSU. It could also cause problems.
