[SOLVED] Maximum Ram with Ryzen 1600 with MSI 450M-PRO-VDH

What is the maximum frequency of Ram I can use with Ryzen 1600 with MSI 450M-PRO-VDH motherboard

I have Corsair Vengence LPX 8GB 3000MHz

Will it work with Ryzen 1600 with this motherboard?

MSI site says board supports 3000 Mhz but Ryzen 1600 specs says 2667MHz!!!

So will it mean money is wasted or is there any option?

Get DDR4-3200MHz as a safe number. You could buy higher frequency'd ram kits but getting there will take some trial and errors. Also, if you're getting the B450, see if you can get the 2nd Gen Ryzen with it. The board supports it but the onboard memory controller(out of the box) support a maximum of DDR4-2666MHz, which means you will be overclocking to get to DDR4-3200MHz.

Also make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard prior to going for the higher frequency.
