I was surprised to see that Gigabyte limited their DDR4 OC speeds to 2666, on their Z390 mATX board—compared to ASRock, MSI, etc that OC over 4000. I don't actually push OC to extremes on my existing box (I prioritize reliability but try to get higher than rated speeds). I have not even evaluated whether CPU clock speeds vs RAM OC are more important (how much might I even notice, say, 2666 compared with 3200?)
Might Gigabyte increase their DDR support with BIOS updates or are such speeds baked into the hardware?
