Hello all! I am currently a high school senior going into college this upcoming year, and I am wondering what laptop to buy for this last year of high school and the next 4-6 years of my education. I am going to double major in electrical engineering and computer engineering. My budget for this laptop is no more than $2400 USD and I have done my research and want at least a 1070 MAX-Q, and an i7, I would prefer for an SSD configuration as well.

Based on my research, I have narrowed my search down to the following:

-[$1900]MSI - 15.6" Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 - 512GB Solid State Drive - Matte Black With Gold Diamond Cut

-[$2100]ASUS - ROG Zephyrus M 15.6" Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 - 1TB Hybrid Drive + 256GB SSD - Black

-[$2200]HP - 17.3" Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 - 1TB Hard Drive + 256GB Solid State Drive - Shadow Black, Aluminum Cover Finish

-[$1650]Alienware - 15.6" Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 - 1TB Hard Drive + 256GB Solid State Drive - Black

-[$1700]Alienware - 17.3" Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 - 256GB Solid State Drive + 1TB Hard Drive - Black

-[$2400]Razer - Blade 15.6" Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 - 512GB Solid State Drive - Black CNC Aluminum

Based on price and specifications on the laptops, the choice at a glance would be the Alienware but I have never had one and am not sure what are the cons of them.

Other factors that matter to me are; Battery life, Loudness of the keyboard (I don't want to disturb others in a lecture in college with blue switches on a laptop), and fan noise.

Please feel free to ask any other clarifying questions and thank you so much to anyone who reads and helps me out!
Thanks a lot!! :)

Honestly, I would recommend ditching the idea of getting a high end laptop in favor of a decent desktop and ~500 dollar laptop.
Not only would you get far more out of your budget, but you would also have a much better experience.

"Gaming" systems are terrible for note taking, extremely heavy, low battery life, and overall clunky to use in class. You dont want to be that guy.
