Ive heard it from everyone in cases they say AMD beats Intel. Meanwhile alot say Intel beats AMD and im not sure.
Anyways im trying to upgrade my processor so it can try to play higher end games more steady such as Rainbow Six, etc.
I have a Inspiron 3847 with a GTX 1050 ti overclocked in it.
My Processor is intel i5-4460 Quadcore @3.2Ghz
it's not the worst but it's not good.
Anyways what i do know is it uses a Socket Type: Socket 1150
Im pretty sure any other CPU i want needs that one correct?
Also does it need to have a Thermal Design Power of 84 Watts? That's confusing me.
I just want a better processor for gaming for a price less than $300. I am still learning and what i think i know is an Octacore is not much difference as a Quad core? it just uses smaller pieces for the chip to process? I just need advice on what you would do in my case for Higher end games.
CPUS that brought my interest :
Ryzen 7 Ryzen™ 7 1700X
AMD RYZEN 3 2200G
Ryzen 5 1600
Core i5-8600K
I Just don't wanna pay so much for something that doesn't make a big difference such as Intel Core i7 4790 barely makes a significant difference than my intel i5-4460 for a good $250 when i could try for something better.
Here are my Specs just incase you need them, i am only familiar with upgrading Graphics Cards & not really CPU's.
Any help is really appreciated fellas
