I have an old i5-4670K with stock Heat-sink and am I wanting to upgrade. My budget is around $500 (AUD) so i'm thinking something like a I7-9700K. I don't plan on overclocking.

Also what do you recommend for heat sink? (my case has heaps of fans so it has good air flow.)

Would rather go with 8700k (6 Core 12 Threads) since the 9700k doenst support hyperthreading (8 core 8 threads) and tend to run hot.
Or you go with Ryzen 2700X :)

Keep in Mind that you also have to change your Ram and Motherboard! your 4670k does use DDR3 and DDR3 isnt supported anymore since 6th gen intel or Ryzen.

Dont know how pricing is in your country :D

That is just the budget for the cpu and cooler correct? You may already know but you’ll need a new mobo and RAM with a CPU upgrade. There’s lots of good coolers out there. I think most popular are the evo 212 and the cryorig H5 or H7
