I have an old i5-4670K with stock Heat-sink and I wondering If it would be worth overclocking or just getting a new CPU entirely (I understand I'd need a new RAM and Motherboard.) What level of performance could I expect from overclocking? What type of cooling would I need?

My current specs are:
Intel i5-4670K
12GB RAM DDR3
Nivida GeForce GTX 1070
750Watt PSU
Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H-A Motherboard

Hi, even without overclocking i'd recommend a better cooler. That will improve your performance a good bit as the stock coolers are trash and will cause performance throttling especially while gaming. If you put a decent cooler on there it will likely be your GFX thats throttling you on most games (not that it'll struggle much with 1080p)

TDP of that CPU is 84W so any half decent air cooler will suffice (GAMMAXX GT or NH-U12S). Added benefit is the cooler will transfer happily to any modern socket as well so you can keep it when you do upgrade the mobo and cpu.

If you really want to overclock then i'd wait for someone else to advise as i'm balls at overclocking :)
