Just built my new computer and i cant get into bios. When I pressed the power button my computer fans turned on for a split second and then turned off. In order for me to turn them on again i have unplug the PSU and replug it in. Clicking the power button repeatedly won't turn the fans back on or do anything.

Thinking it was my psu i switched out the PSU with one I know is working but is 8 yrs old. This time when i click the power button the lights for GPU turns on.. CPU fan is on..and then it stops after 5 seconds and restarts the same thing after like 3 seconds of waiting.

If it matters i only used the spare PSU to power the mobo and cpu. Didnt power any of the case fans.

I tried moving my ram sticks around or keeping just one but no luck. But at least they light up, does that mean theyre at least put in correctly?

Does anyone have any suggestions? Would love some help.

My cpu fan is in the cpu fan1 and I have both the cpu and mobo being powered.

Also how do I get beep codes? My case (570x corsair) only comes with a wire to plug into the usb 3.0 for the front. No wires specifically for speakers. I tried plugging in some speakers through the front case output but didnt hear anything.

Is the HD audio the same thing as the speaker header? Theres no wire from the case that goes into the spekaer header.

Edit: oh do i need to buy a speaker specifically to plug into that?
