Hello, so I have a weird problem...
I just built a computer and the first time I used it, I could see the Asus Rog logo and it tells me the buttons to press to get into Bios etc etc.
I installed windows, and did everything fine. After I updated BIOS and updated my graphics drivers, I realized that the screen stayed dark until the login screen. I found it weird for a while and thought it was the fast boot causing it, but even after I turned it off, I still had the same issue.
Another scenario I tried was pressing the F2 button where I knew the logo would pop up, and then the screen just stays dark until I force the computer to reboot.
I cleared the CMOS battery but because of a different issue with my time not syncing well, and this is what really made me aware of the problem because I didn't think about using the on-board graphics at this time. I just thought my graphics card was dead and I had a hell of a time trying to figure out what was going on.
When I finally discovered the on-board graphics showed the logo and everything with no issue, I realized I had a problem.
Any ideas what could be the problem? Could it be a resolution problem?
TL;DR: BIOS Screen stays black for dedicated graphics, works fine for on-board graphics. No clue what the issue is.
The motherboard is a Rog Strix H370-F, and the graphics card is an Asus GeForce 1070.
If any other computer specs are needed, let me know.
Thanks
-Nell
