Hi, so I've decided to revive an old pc I haven't used in years and recently bought a HDD as the last one was corrupt (caused me to stop using it) and then today I purchased ram thinking it would be ok to just plug and play - I was terribly wrong.

My specs:
i3 530
Asus p7h55-m
1tb WD
ati 7750
550w psu
1x 4GB Kingston kvr13333d3n9 (OLD RAM)
2x 4GB Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C9 (NEW RAM)

I've tried everything - resetting cmos, overclocking cpu, making sure the ram is in correctly etc

I just can not come to a conclusion if it's my motherboard not recognising the high capacity memory chips, or my cpu not recognising ram at 1600mhz.

Can someone help me and give me a definite answer. Thanks!

Yep, when i boot with both it just keeps beeping once and restarting in a loop. Booting with one gets me to the windows logo and then restarts.

That's what I'm trying to do.. don't worry i'm not putting the Kingston stick in with them haha
