Hi. I've just realized that my computer case's front panel connectors are working in 2.0 speeds when I plugged in my friend's iPad for charging and got myself a "Not Charging" notification. Plugging it to back panel USB ports work just fine.

The mobo is a Z97-HD3 rev 2.1. and the case is Corsair Carbide 300R (old version without glass) and it has blue USB ports in front panel with the SS USB logo below them. I've neatly connected the cable coming out of the front panel to the USB header slot of my motherboard (which had the identifier F_USB30 on it).

I'm frustrated to realize whatever I plug in works in 2.0 speeds. I've installed usbview that came with Windows debug tools, and that shows my front panel ports as:

Protocols Supported:
USB 1.1: yes
USB 2.0: yes
USB 3.0: no

I really don't know what to do next. Gigabyte's website and support is notoriously shoddy and I couldn't find any drivers there. (only win8 and win7 drivers are available.) I'd greatly appreciate any help guys. Thanks a lot!
